Join us for the fun as Carol DuBosch teaches us a variety of techniques for turning everyday envelopes into unique pieces of art! Creatively decorating envelopes for friends and family is a great way to highlight their names and let them know just how special they are to us. We will learn a variety of simple techniques to make everyday envelopes into one of a kind pieces of art. Carol will share her large collection of decorated envelopes with the class. In addition, she will bring a library of resources that you can use for Envelope Art ideas. Carol will also let us peek at her collection of vintage postage stamps. Vintage postage stamps can be an excellent design element for decorated envelopes as well as quick visual inspiration for layout ideas. The class will earn how to make several simple decorated envelopes and special cards with an envelope theme. Carol will also teach the class an easy script, written with a simple pen that we will make ourselves. The workshop will include hands-on experience with two easy paper marbling techniques that are perfect for use with decorated envelopes.

To register for the work shop contact Jessie McCandlish at Treasurer@CapitalCalligraphers.org

Below are some examples of Carol's award winning envelopes.
