Our meetings are open to all who have an interest in learning, sharing or teaching calligraphy or any of its related arts.

Where and When We Meet

Our meetings are held at 7:00 PM on the first Thursday after Labor Day in September, and the first Thursday of every month, October through June at the Community Center of the Capital Manor Retirement Community in West Salem.

Capital Calligraphers invites you to a two day workshop with Victoria Pittman, highly respected master calligrapher, international calligraphy teacher and a Master Gardener. Victoria will help us to work in several methods to create free and spirited natural forms. This class uses a unique combination of oriental painting techniques and pen manipulation to produce the natural floral forms which will be rendered in ink, watercolor and acrylics. Botanical walks and fresh plant specimens will provide inspiration for our painting. Our final presentations will integrate the florals with our lettering. Join us for two special days with Victoria Pittman!

Remember this class may fill quickly and registration to non-members will be open on Feb. 3, 2012.
